Giving You Peace of Mind
Coronavirus Testing
Coronavirus drive-up testing is available. For those who may have been exposed, for those who need a clear diagnosis in order to receive medication or treatment, or for those who are suffering from fear and anxiety, we want you to have the peace of mind that testing can bring. The test we use is a PCR test that extracts DNA that looks for the RNA of the Covid-19 virus and it is extremely accurate. Testing result times vary.
To be tested, call us at 817-898-7400 to make an appointment. At the appointed time, drive to the designated testing area at Southlake Physical Medicine and stay in your car. Someone will come out to you to administer the test. Detailed instructions will be given when you make your appointment.

Antibody Testing
Southlake Physical Medicine is now offering Covid-19 Antibody Testing. With a simple blood test, you can find out if you have been exposed to Covid-19 and may now have antibodies against the virus. Not everyone who is infected shows symptoms so it is possible to develop antibodies without even knowing you have been exposed. This blood test checks for a type of antibody called immunoglobulin G (IgG) that is the result of past or recent exposure to Covid-19. Some people may not exhibit symptoms but will have a detectable antibody response. While it is unclear if these antibodies can provide immunity against getting infected again, antibodies in similar viruses have proven effective in providing a level of protection. Our test is made in the USA, highly reliable and provides results in 10 minutes.
Keeping You Safe
The health and safety of our staff and community have always been a top priority for us and it continues to be so now. For those coming into our office for treatment, please know that social distancing protocols are in place and extra sanitation measures have been added to our already meticulous routines. We have changed the schedules for Philip Talley, FNP and Dr. Hergert, DC to keep the number of people in the office at one time to a minimum. All patients must have an appointment to be seen so that we can schedule properly and be prepared for your arrival.
Please come see us for all your regular healthcare needs and leave the hospitals, urgent cares and primary care offices available to see the people that are most critical. We care about you and want to help you through this difficult time in any way we can.
